Our dentists are licensed by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and are committed to compassionate, patient-centred care for families throughout North York and the surrounding communities.
Our dentists
North York Dental is home to four general dentists who bring decades of experience and a broad range of clinical interests across preventive, restorative, cosmetic, surgical, and family dentistry.
Dr. Nada Harakati
General Dentist; B.D.S., Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy
Dr. Harakati obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry (B.D.S.) from Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She was born in Vancouver, BC and always planned to return to Canada to practice. After completing the requirements, she was awarded a general dentist license by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario in January 2018. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
Dr. Harakati has volunteered nationally and internationally, including oral-health awareness campaigns and programs that use sport to support children and youth. She believes strongly in including oral-health education in dental visits.
Her view is that dentistry is a partnership between dentist and patient, where honest and open communication leads to a better experience and a healthier outcome.
Dr. Sayed N. Hafizi
General Dentist; University College Cork
Dr. Sayed N. Hafizi was born in Ottawa and completed his Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. His interest in dentistry grew after shadowing Dr. Harle and seeing his work at the Ottawa Mission. Dr. Hafizi completed his dental training at University College Cork in Ireland, then returned to Canada to practice in Toronto.
He is drawn to challenging treatment, including root canal treatment on complicated canals, restoring heavily decayed teeth, and caring for anxious patients.
He is particularly interested in endodontic treatment, anterior fillings, and dental surgery. Outside the clinic he spends time with family, travels, volunteers, and stays active.

In addition to our dentists, North York Dental is supported by a team of dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff who work together to ensure every visit runs smoothly. Our hygienists play a central role in preventive care, and our reception team is always happy to answer questions about appointments, insurance, and patient forms.
